The solvent cement for CPVC / UPVC / PVC also called liquid solders is an integral part of the installation of tube systems achieving the monolithic union between pipes and accessories. It is applicable in all types of drinking water systems, sewerage, foamed core pipes, conduit, drainage, sanitary and PVC ventilation. Solvent cement is the recommended bonding method for many industrial CPVC / UPVC /PVC Solvent Cements systems. These solutions use a combination of solvents and resin to melt CPVC?s two-component polymer chains. When the solvents and resin are used to disengage and then melt the molecules of any thermoplastic material, the newly formed joint needs time to dry and harden. This process is known as curing. If the system does not take time to heal completely, weak joints can cause problems within a system, specifically leaks. By controlling the viscosity of the solvent cement it is allowed that it is adequately impregnated on the surface to be glued, in addition to allowing sufficient working time. The solids content has been adjusted to allow filling the empty spaces of the sticky areas, thus ensuring a better cohesion and increasing the strength of the assembly.
