These studs offer optimal lane identification in all weather circumstances and are visible, can be heard and felt, when a vehicle moves over them. These are reflective glass beads in a rubber insert which is fixed into a metal casing. Generally placed in the centre of a road but they are also placed at the edge of a number of carriageways and roads.
