Austenitic 304 stainless steels formed through the generous use of austenitizing elements such as nickel, manganese and nitrogen. Chromium content is range of 186 and nickel content in range of 86. They are non-magnetic but can become slightly magnetic when cold worked. Cold working also enhances their strength. Austenitic stainless steel have mechanical properties over a wide range of temperatures.
